Syndicate - Therapy Thread

As some of you probably already know, Syndicate is a fairly unique region of EVE which consists of NPC 0.0 space which is commonly regarded by the long-term inhabitants of having absolutely no worth whatsoever for PvE, thus making it an active PvP region, particularly for small roaming gangs.

While there are several long-term residents of Syndicate who seem to have established a permanent base of operations there, most of the corporations and alliances in this region are transitory, which systems changing hands often. Many Corporations/Alliances first venturing into 0.0 are drawn to Syndicate, as at a casual first glance it seems to be a nice, safe place in which to begin their 0.0 adventures. Most of these alliances subsequently get pushed out of Syndicate back to low/high sec as they are overwhelmed by the long-term residents, or as they are supplanted by newcomers to the region who want to use their chosen systems. Additionally, most of those who don't get pushed back to low/high sec eventually move on to other, more profitable regions of 0.0.

However, for some reason, many former residents of Syndicate look back with fond memories of their time there - and those who can occasionally still roam through for old times' sake when they happen to be in the area. They also tend to follow interesting BRs from the region when they are available...leading to the creation of a Syndicate BR thread.



Recently, these BR threads have been literally OVERFLOWING with ****-posting, and 2 have been locked in the past couple of weeks....

The purpose of THIS thread is to give everyone a place to chat, banter, insult, rant, or whatever the **** you feel you need to do regarding the Syndicate region, without getting yet ANOTHER thread locked and forcing Grarr to forbid anyone from ever opening a new one.

With all of 6 people in local, meaning we weren't going to get a fight with subcaps, we dropped one dread to take it out. Once we decided that was going to take too long, we added one aeon. Those were the only caps that we dropped.
Still we were hoping for BC or something we could use ahacs on. Not thrashers :cry:


What the fuck were you expecting, 3 BCs to show up? You literally had 4 people in local. 6 if you count Flatline's butt-buddy Russians derping around in a Maller (that we prayed and prayed and prayed had a cyno and would titan bridge in half of EVE onto our heads just so we could have the off-chance that something other than the incursion rats in M2 would shoot at us) and a Crow.

I do realize you were being sarcastic....but realistically speaking I think the THIRD syndicate BR thread in a row was well on its way to being locked - and unless he wanted to continue locking a thread a week from the region Grarr probably *would* have to start banning some of the more vocal inhabitants...


If you are too cool to post in my thread when you want to rant about Syndicate then make your own. Shoot me a link and I'll change my post to aim at YOUR thread. I honestly don't give a ****, I'm just sick of all the garbage cluttering the BR thread to the point its impossible to tell when an actual BR happens to come along...as well as having to find the "new" Syndicate BR thread every week.....

They were so fun to farm, but then it got to the point you couldn't get them to engage and they whined about caps. Syndicate was the second most fun place I've ever been. Everyone needs to try it at least once.

He's referring to me warping from one gate to another and I said in local, "If there's a bubble on my outbound I'm going to kill you." Lo and behold, my outbound was bubbled. I hopped in to a vaga and put his sabre into low shields and probably called hiim a faggot(I do that a lot) and let him go. Funnily enough, the ensuing drama came from people not even involved in the issue. The corp left rote kapelle shortly there after, citing me as the reason.

I enjoyed solo roaming round Syndicate when I played EVE.

Yes, there was always a sizeable chance that a Sabre + Falcon would slap in the face of your honour, but there was plentiful ratters to prey on and the small unorganised defence fleet to play with afterwards. And I always found Syndicate residents to be more willing to fight than the average EVE player, although why would you move to Syndicate if you weren't actively trying to explode your ship?
