RECIPES FAGS, I NEED RECIPES

stick butter
2 slices bread
2 pieces american cheese
optional sun dried tomatoes


heat the pan and rub the stick butter on it till its coated(dont use the whole stick ok)
heat it till it bubbles, put the bread on, put a slice of cheese on each bread, along with the optional sundried tomatoes
set the heat to medium-low, let the bread toast while moving it around so it picks up all the butter
keep peeking at it till the toast looks acceptable
flip them together and eat your sammich



i made that yesterday, i will make it again today. it kicks ass.


dont need no pretentious fancy grilled cheese sandwiches(also i am lazy)

The fuck is a denny's toastie doing mixed in with those photos, jesus christ denny's shit is fucking horrible. Even looking at that sandwich makes me sick.

However grilled pimento :companioncube: , I might need to change my boxers.

Don't mind a good toastie, but these days i prefer to get two decent slices of hot toast and slap nice thick slices of extra mature cheddar in between them (unmelted) the heat from the toast seem to draw out the flavour of the cheese and make it taste even more nom.

I made the pan fried style cheese & onion sammiches a couple of times after reading this thread. Although there is definitely a level of skill involved, they were quite tasty and I will prolly make them again when the weather turns cold. I need a better pan though.

I had essentially this for lunch, only with the addition of some sliced mushrooms. Also, I'm not quite sure what they've put in the garlic confit in this pic but I just used a very small amount of straight mashed garlic. Epicness confirmed. Also, don't call it "arugula", that is a silly name. Using the name "rocket" is far less silly.

I'm not sure what garlic confit is exactly (or rather, I wasn't until I googled it), but I dont think you could go wrong by substituting some persillade. Persillade is also extremely useful for a number of other very tasty dishes.

That shit sounds amazing. I had never heard of it. And it just so happens I have both a lemon tree and a ton of parsley bushes, so I am all over this. Cheers.

When you're making roast potatoes*, pull them out about 5-8 minutes before they're done, mix round a big ole dollop of persillade so that all the spud get a good amount on them, and put them back in to finish off.

Gremolata is a fantastic way to add some punch to a ratatouille.

And I can 100% definitely recommend the +anchovy variant for cooking lamb. For some reason anchovy really brings out and compliments the flavour of lamb.

Ah, that would appear to be the problem. May I instead recommend looking at the ingredients list and then using your experiences with those ingredients and a little imagination to arrive at an estimated flavour profile? It seems to work for me.

I like to add a thin slice of raw onion to mine. Adds just a touch of solid texture and the added flavor is nommy. I only add tomatoes if they are home grown or from one of the local, small family farmers (I live in an area with plenty of them with little road-side stores). Store-bought tomatoes are devoid of flavor and have a strange texture. Something pulled right from the ground that morning... Makes all the difference.
