m8's it's REALLY cold. just occoured to me i want a casserole or something, anything hearty filling and warm that fills the air with warm smells. winter food is awesome. sadly i only know a few soup recipes and a basic casserole. some new winter warming recipes to try provided by FHC bro's would be awesome.

Roast lamb. Easiest meal to make ever, all you do is stick it in the oven and wait 3 hours and it makes the house smell amazing.

More detailed recipe:

Stick leg of lamb (or whatever cut of meat you like) in dish with a bit of olive oil at mediumish heat, 170c or something like that for 1 hour.
Add potatos to the dish covering them with the oil in the dish, wait 1 hour.
Add onions, carrots, corn and whatever else to the dish and cook for the final hour.

Done. You can add herbs and spices to taste to the meat or vegies but personally I like the meat just in the olive oil and the meat juices make the vegies great.

Serve with some warm bread rolls and some peas and boiled green vegies and whatever sauce is appropriate to the meat (mint, apple, gravy, etc).

Plus leftovers mean roast meat sandwiches for lunch for the rest of the week :D

I like the idea of roast lamb with bread, peas and applesauce. I'll cook this next time I find some lamb.
