So we RF'd some moons the other night to give us some potential :goodfights: on Saturday.

One of them, a small, had an OOR timer at 10:00 today. Not ideal for the US and not ideal for us Euros who like a tipple on a Friday night.
However, we are FEARLESS(dot) and never ones to back down from a challenge. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and charged my pipe. Shunning the sun I loaded up my clients and said 'Today is a good day to die.'

We formed up in a plucky gang of 10 tier 3s, a scimi and an Arazu and set off in search of ~goodfights~.

We arrived to find two carriers, a Chimera and an Archon (lol) repping the pos shield. Realising we probably wouldn't have the deeps to break them we just bumped them inside. We began wailing on the tower and it went down at a leisurely rate. Within about 5 minutes local spiked by around 20 and we had an armour BS gang land on top of us. We squad warped out and waited in a safe. They too retreated to a safe then bounced again, leaving a megathron behind. He was probed and euthanised. We chased them to the out gate forcing them to jump out and returned to the POS to blap it, driving the carriers into the shields with our guns for fear of getting too close to them in case they'd refit for tackle.

The hostiles warped back in and we caught a few before sending them back into the shields. Just prior to downtime they left, expecting them to reform and return after downtime. The shield was down to 3% now with heavy armour bleed.

We were on the ball after downtime and took down the tower quickly. The carriers waited inside, perhaps until the last possible second in order to try to troll us. Unfortunately the Archon wasn't quick enough and he was swiftly pointed. Like the dishonourable curr he was he initiated self destruct. We had a singular dread in range so a cyno was lit and it jumped in. Alas, just as our dread pilot gained a lock the offending Archon's warp core overloaded and he died in a shower of dishonour.

With our dread unaggressed I ordered him to log off as local spiked by another 20. Our foes landed on the site of the tower with a gang of what appeared to be close range BCs. I ordered us to burn off and we popped a Talos, alas, our our Arazu neglected to notice his distance and burned out of tackle range of their gang. The enemy scattered and a covert ops decloaked, lighting a cyno. He was popped but not before around 10 PL carriers joined the fray. They targetted our dread who vanished into nothingness at around 40% armour as his siege cycle ran out. The PL carriers capped up and jumped out when they realised they would win no prize today. We warped around picking off a few stragglers, disorientated by our aggression and force of action.

On Friday night FEARLESSdot and Psychotic Tendencies RF'd a moon belonging to Ethereal Dawn in Central Point in the hope of getting ~goodfites~. A very beefy faction fit deathstar worth ~6 bil was bound to generate a response.
The out timer was around 18:00 Eve time today, pretty much a good timer for everyone so happy days.

This afternoon I recieved some int that they were calling a CTA and would likely be rolling with Pantheon Carriers and 'support'. I also anticipated having to deal with MILFs as the tower belonged to the corp with all of ED's known super pilots in.

Realising we probably couldn't deal with all that on our own we contacted Wolfsbrigade and Rooks and Kings.

The plan was such:

FEARLESSdot and Psychotic would form in BS with Triage and Dreads in reserve and hold several jumps out just off the pipe with the intention of intercepting the hostile support fleet and forcing a fight away with a POS.

If ED bypassed us by means of a bridge RnK would bridge onto them with BS and Triage to force an escalation, with Wolfsbrigade in Pantheon carriers in reserve and the rest of us making best speed.

Just before the tower came out of RF a locator on one of the ED super pilots put him in Metropolis. At this point we realised we only had three HICs so desperately tried to stuff some in our Triage carriers still parked in our staging system and bridge a few closer.

Waiting ensued and about ten minutes after the tower came out things started hotting up. An ED cyno went up and five carriers jumped in. RnK immediately responded with their merry band. ED bridged through their support fleet and additional caps taking them to 12 carriers and 4 MILFs. Support started burning and Wolfs jumped in their pantheon carriers. Unfortunately due to problems with cyno placement they landed out of rep range of the RnK triage who skillfully managed to tank the DPS long enough to exit triage but unfortunately fell soon after.

At this point the combined HLMAR and TISHU support fleet landed and started spreading super points and applying additional DPS to the hostile carriers. Noticing that three of the supers were very close to the shield I ordered everyone to concentrate on bumping an Aeon who was around 10k off and a Nyx who was a possible but ultimately managed to get inside the shields partly due to some bad bumps. We drove the regular carriers inside the POS killing two and missing out on a Chimera who squeezed in at 20% hull and then concentrated on the Aeon, jumping in some dreads to speed up the process. Hostile support, consisting of a motley crew of drakes, close range armour tier 3s and BS, warped in on us at zero several times, to what end, I don't know.

He went down in due course and the hostile caps jumped out from the POS which was now receiving our full attention. A fully faction fit deathstar is not something I enjoy going up against and we very nearly lost a dread to it's manned guns who, fortunately, managed to coast out of his cycle. The tower popped and the slaughter of the gunner alts commenced.

All in all a fun little fight. Perhaps a little too one sided but we were expecting a bigger showing from ED who have recently become active again and begun expanding.
