i played pantheon top lane and bossed a nassus around until i got ganked several times (because i didnt realise that i couldnt lol kill ulted nassus like i could without his ult). we had a terrible mumu as jungler who liked to bandage toss onto minions and ult when solo. we had an ok malz who suddenly decided to go full retard and keep diving the enemy team and dying.

i was kind of wondering if equal wins and losses would take you up to 1200 but i guess as i lost more at the start and dropped down to TRIPLE DIGITS that my elo gain per game is not as much as my elo loss was per game

Trynd is good and people have no idea. He is very good even at high elo. He got sick laninhg, is completly ungankable and unharassable, can split push like mad. Lategame with his ult lives usually longer than most semi tanky bruisers. Underrated and overhated champ.

This, Tryndamere is much stronger than people realise. He's fast in the jungle, strong top lane presence, and is a ticking time bomb - if you let the game go past 35mins, Trynd will carry.

The problem with Tryn however is the psychological factor. People like to QQ tons about him, and yet when he gets picked, what do they do? They don't counter him.

They don't take Ignite, they don't take Exhaust. And are perfectly happy to whine "WHO FED TRYN!?" when he's allowed to farm/gank without any sort of attempts made to stop him.

so, after being extremely tired by premade pubstomps in normals, I finally decided to jump into ranked.

well... each and every normal game I played had a higher skill and better picks then the first ranked matches i played (2/3) so far. so much derp oO "can only play ad, cause i have no ap runes", "turned 30 yesterday" and so on.

i mean seriously, the second game i won was like this: mundo ("i support"), karthus (i duo'ed with him), nasus picked. asking lastpick what he is about to play - no response. so i picked cait, because i'm better with ad carry then jungle. last pick didnt say a word. then he picks and locks poppy. later ingame: mundo and poppy went top. ("we are premade" - ???) so - full derp mode incoming: cait and nasus bot. :D luckily we won this game because of outstanding karthus and nice poppy. but still. w-t-f?

yeah i know. thing is, assuming the following picks: mundo ("i support"), karthus, nasus. what's left? ad ranged and jungle or second "support" for toplane. but nasus (needs to farm q) and cait are literally forced to go bot together because mundo and poppy are premade and just telling us when ingame and not smart enough to see what an bad idea this is? this was just a huuuuge w-t-f.

That's not support, though. That's an agressive botlane who wants to win the lane. It's a good idea, but not support in any way, shape or form.

What do you define as a support, then? Mundo can buy wards, carry CV, survive without CS, control the lane for his partner and still do OK in teamfights. What're you expecting, heals?

A support should sustain the AD carry via a heal or shield mechanic. Otherwise it's not support.

Well, not always. I mean I run Zilean support quite a bit - Zil has zero sustain for the lane beyond sustained bombs. But the key difference between Zil and Mundo is Zil doesn't drop off so hard with 0cs. He drops off, but Zil's speed buff/debuff, ult and passive are always useful. Whereas Mundo with 0cs has no tank, no damage, and is a non-presence in teamfights.

I would say a support should generally have some skills that directly supports the other players on the team, or hard cc to save them. It's not a hard line though, but I would draw it between mundo and leona. Leonas skillset is more set up to support with her hard cc saving your teammates, whilst mundo can only cleaver 1 person chasing.

As for Zilean his speed buff and ult can definitely support.

Running an aggressive botlane isn't bad though, you just have to approach it differently.

I make that statement from the point of view of the AD carry in the lane. If I'm playing Cait with someone like Zil bot, I'm at a disadvantage against, say, an MF/Soraka, or a Trist/Taric, or Ez/Alistar....because I have to burst them from full to zero every fight, whereas they just have to wear me down slowly and make me back to gain the edge.

I'm not saying AD carry plus something else isn't viable, but like Bob, you just have to approach it differently...meaning your AD carry should be warned that by "support" you don't mean sustain.
