Hi there
I was planning for this to be a part of the next Kill Will, but I ended up suddenly having a ton of Ishtar footage, so I decided to make a video dedicated to that ship alone (Kill Will 4 will follow shortly). I've found this ship to be pretty much the most fun ship to fly that I ever tried. I actually had all the fights that are in this video in just 2 long days of playing.
ISHTAR (http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/willa/Will_Adama_-_Ishtar.mkv) (eve-files 520MB)
Youtube: Part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfSU69h8fxw) - Part 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4UiHdzQ1js)
Ships: Ishtar, Dominix (1 fight)
Lenght: 27 minutes
Alts: Legion
Soundtrack:
Charlie Clouser - Convoy (from Resident evil - extinction)
Daft Punk - End of Line
Puscifer - Dozo (version 3)
E. S. Posthumus - Durga
Flesh Field - Amoeba
Flesh Field - This Broken Dream
Daft Punk - Fall
Also, forgive me, but I kinda went role-playing on this one, you'll see what I mean (I'm hoping mby someone will like it!). There's also a few editorial glitches that I didn't notice until after render and cba to do anything about, but it's nothing serious.
Thanks to: Comboduck (as pr. usual), Jardin (for being a faggot) and Garmon (for the fit)
I hope you'll enjoy it!

Watched part 1 so far. Personally w.r.t. 'role-playing' I dislike the choice of spinner. Liked the Ishtar action, arg @ the Domi imperfections (mwding, heat, align when warp might have saved you).

Yes, I've had terrible luck with my heat management in these fights. If you noticed, I burned the hardeners on the last cycle of heat for both that domi fight and for the last ishtar fight. Warp wouldn't have saved me btw, the time window I wasn't tackled was too small to allign and warp. If I had been alligned already when they dropped point, then yes, but I didn't exactly expect them to be so retarded to all lose points at once.
Still totally worth it for the arazu/falcon/drake kill though

Part 2, suddenly Hydra, but then a track from Gods Coldblood's Vindi vids*. Bait tanking makes up for yet more bad pimp frigate foes and Zzz drakes.
Arg that last fight, was so wondering how you were going to turn things around and pwn but then burnt stuff everywhere.
* to clarify, his accelerated 25mins of constant 1 v many pewpewing in a pimped pirate BS by a gate retains the title for best use of this tune, IMHO. Nice work though. ;)

Yes, that particular fight you're referring to is one of my favourite fights of all time, and by far the best fight in that video. The use of that song is also kind of a reference back to that fight, which is also 1 ship taking out a bunch of bads that just keep coming.
Sorry bout the last fight. If you noticed, the stuff burned just as I tried to disable heat :( Might've actually won the fight if that hand't happened and that drake had died

Liked it alot, made me consider buying an Ishtar and lose it in retarded fashion trying to do what u did.
Would that even remotely work (not against blobs this size obv, but against 1-2 BC's for instance) without the T3 links? 400-500 dps tanked against something around 800... NOT i suppose. (?)
Anyway, great fights, especially next to last one.

Based on his speed, he's probably running Zor's hyperlink, but not a mobility implant 6, and might be instead running a 3/5% armor repair cycle reduction. With a Legion, 3% noble, and standard exile, hes tanking ~973 dps pre-heat. Without the legion, your only talking ~541 dps tanked, or around half the effectiveness. Its the difference between being able to tank a hurricane comfortably, and dying to one. That dual rep ishtar on overheat repairs its armor in ~10 seconds from 0-100, so alpha can be a bitch. Pretty good bait tanking overall with that factor in mind, I'd be wayyyyy more cautious on maintaining armor HP given how little of it you have, but I get the sense you've flown it for a while and know the ship's limits.
I'd agree that domi could have probably lived if aligned, but it still killed way more than it was worth. Overall a very entertaining video, can't believe how many retarded frigate pilots live in tama. What on earth are they thinking, burning after an Ishtar? :psyduck:
Looking forward to more of them Will :)

Liked the video, especially that dumbshit archon pilot. How long did Hydra take to get there?

@ Hannibal/Vortex - It works, especially vs drakes because of isnane kinetic resists (hence the reason I engaged those drakeblobs). It can take out a cane easily enough without the links too, the on paper tank doesn't mean anything, cause a Cane wont actually be able to track you well enough to apply his dps if you orbit him. Two canes might be a bitch though, but the biggest treat is actually harbs cause of em being lowest resist, especially if they have a web. Also, no hyperlink; I've got a rapid deployment link on the legion as well. Also, baittanking can indeed be tough with this little buffer, but it got me a lot of extra kills. I did screw up the part vs dual harb and bombers though, might've won if I had kicked the tank in sooner, but didn't expect to all of sudden be dualwebbed and tripple Td'ed :D
@Xart - Garmons cynocane was 6-7 jumps away when the archon warped in. I went back to the station and kept skirmishing with it and his friends until the phoons bridged in.

Some nice fights in there!
You tried using the Eos by any chance?
Also, what drones are you using? Ogres/Berserkers/Warriors/Vespa EC-600s I guess?

Sadly can't fly eos, but th it's not much better than a myrm. There'll be some commandship footage in my next one though, I expect.
Hell no, don't ever use ecm drones. replace them with valks, then you've got it

Ah right, I was wondering, thought maybe he was retard enough to stay active for 30-40 minutes. Either way nice skirmish and doubly nice to have the support when shit does hit the fan.

Oh I'm well aware of why it works against stupid drakes. Against a pure kinetic profile (with prev. listed boosts), your tanking ~2200 kinetic dps pre-heat. Against EM damage, it drops dramatically, to ~700 (explosive is only slightly better at ~750). If the drakes had a brain and switched ammo types, a lot of those fights would have been much shorter. Similarly, I think the combination of hounds and harbingers in that one fight hand your fate sealed, but you may have had the time to kill one or two bombers if the reps had been going full power with a larger armor buffer. That's why bait tanking in a ship with 11k effective armor (and delayed cycle reps) would make me very paranoid about armor HP.

To be fair though, if everybody had that eft warrioring risk averse nature, no decent pvp video's would be made. Its the "omg he didn't just do that" moments that make vids worth watching and its what makes the authors stand out against the army of battleclinic setup forum cunts (of which there are too many).

Its an Ishtar pvp-vid hence I will like it. And I did. Great fights but it does bugger me a bit that without expensive mods, links and stuff the Ishtar is still a bit shit.
That doesnt take away your effort at all though, its not like all that suddenly makes everyone great at pvp. So I'd like moar Gallente vids pls. :)

Actually I used a plain T2 fit for this :)
It would work equally well without links and with a pimped fit pretty much!
