View Full Version : Neptune's Pride (MT based (so free to peons) Space Strategy Thing)

It was in an article I found on team... and looked interesting, so I clicked, and it looks like awesome fun to play with a bunch of professional backstabbing cunts like (ex-)eve players. I'm literally shit at describing games, so go check it out, worth your time, and free, albeit limited to 3 games active at a time, and any given game is likely to last for the best part of a month with competent players and a good balance going on.

Anyway, find it, love it or hate it, but give it a shot, because its freeeeeeee.

And, because of the way time works in it, no real issues with timezones, which is nice, considering the number of USTZ people I know via eve who i never talk to now because of un-shitting up my sleeping pattern.

I think you can purchase something and then start a game with friends. That's good fun.

The mechanics were pretty fucked though. I has like 3:1 shipcount in my favor and lost in battle. More than once. It's was way too shallow to hold my interest.

Neptune's pride 2 is out, dunno what has changed - I didn't play the first one.

There is a big 64 player experimental server, I suggest all you fagets get in here: http://triton.ironhelmet.com/game/5458965501575168
