Imo the digital collectors pack is the best as it gives you some of the rp back making each champ cost about 100 rp. I have it and I always have loads of champs I want to play.

Tonight's the night for Leaguefest, our League of Legends get together!

If you want to come hang out with us in-game, just join the chatroom CADLeaguefest. When I start games, I'll be inviting people at random from within this chatroom. Hopefully it will be filled with great people looking to game, so you should all have no problem finding some people to play with!

Additionally, if you're in the EU and want to play with us on the NA servers, (apparently) all you need to do is download these two files (here and here) and click on the one that says NA. (Apparently) that will boot your game as if it were the NA client. I think you still need an NA account though.

Obviously I won't be able to game with everyone tonight, but I'll play as many games as I can. If this goes well, we'll do it again next week!

If you start a game, I'd suggest creating a Custom Game. That will let you invite both sides of the match (instead of randomly getting matched against people).

And most importantly: Remember, we're here to have fun. Please keep the raging to a minimum, and if you're an experienced player, try to keep in mind that we'll have a lot of people that are new to the game and trying to learn. Be patient and help them. It can be daunting getting into a game with so many nuances and acronyms being thrown about.

my old sivir build when I played LoL was something like

pots and mana pendant to start out with

manamune, starks, and the biggest AD and/or armor pen items you can find. extreme late game you can top everything off with some crit. i like dodge boots personally but most choices work.

max Q and W, with at least one level of E. any hero laning against you with a spell projectile, you can block it with E. (this is also the morgana skill advice, lol) take your ult when possible.

get teleport and something else (i got ghost a lot) as summoner spells. i like to get 9/0/21 masteries, armor pen/mana regen runes.

run around the map push-farming every lane that you safely can. pop through the jungle for additional gold when between lanes. group up with your team when they're pushing or teamfighting, obviously. saving teleport so you can get to a fight quickly can be a good idea.

if you don't have the best farm in the game by the time it's over, you did something wrong. sivir's skills naturally kinda suck except for farming, which she is amazing at, so farm ridiculous amounts of items and win with those.

It's about the only viable thing to do with Sivir, tbh.

My problem with her is the same problem I have with AD TF - that attack range is just too low and puts you in too much danger. She's strong in lane (stronger 1v1 than duo), more viable if you have a second AD champ on the team so her ult bonuses + starks get used. She's a great pusher and a good farmer, but as an actual carry she's not as viable as Ashe/Corki/MF/Vayne.

I think you want to go Manamune + Stark's + Stuff. You need Manamune or Chalice, farm lanes all day and harrass with Boomerang, hope you get to lane against an AP carry so you can make them rage with spell shield.

She was perfectly balanced...7 months ago. But since then they introduced deathcap and revolver/gunblade.
Had a few nice games where I got my 3-4 kills/fight...and I never went below maxhp while doing that? Why is that you ask? Well, with the optimal Akali build you have like 70% spellvamp. Combine that with her ~7000 dmg/5 and you know why she needs a small nerf.

Luckily nobodyexcept westrice has cashed in on this, but yeah, akali is totaly the new fotm.
And she doesnt even need a HUGE nerfhammer. But I bet Riot will overnerf her into uselessness. But at least she can highfive eve on her way there...

Nidalee is strong early/mid game, falls down to a support/poke/chase role late game. Don't use cat form in teamfights unless you're fed to shit, you just melt otherwise. Late game heals with a Deathcap can get up above a thousand HP, which is nice.

Olaf is a late-game anti-carry. Very fast in the jungle but ganks aren't actually THAT powerful (well, they are if you can hit Axe, they're awful if you can't). Decent in an offtank build, has true damage and a good steroid ult.

Jax is strong early game, weak mid game, and assuming you didn't get completely boned and can finish a build, very very strong lategame. In my opinion he's best used as a counterpick, since AP heavy teams absolutely rape him. An annoying part of him is his reliance on Ninja Tabi and his synergy with Rageblade meaning he gets absolutely fucked by hard CC.

Singed is a punching bag pre-6, after he has ult and RoA he's an unkillable running machine. Builds tanky but isn't really a main tank, decent CC though.

Garen is Garen. Take all the keys except E off your keyboard, you won't need them (well you might need R to killsteal stuff.).

Rammus is really weak at the moment - needs to jungle and needs a LOT of ganks to be worthwhile after that. If you want a jungling tank take Amumu, way more fun.

IP boosts are IMHO the bad investments since you need to play such a huge number of games to make them preferable over just buying a character.

What I can tell you about Rammus : well he is still viable if you are good with him and that 3 second taunt is still very powerful, allowing you to drag enemy dps away from your carry
However his jungling is average and he is quite squishy early game (lacks a decent HP pool so make sure you buy at least a sunfire+HoG)
Now everyone plays fotm OP alistar who tanks with no tank items or Amumu so Rammus is more of a last chance pick (if your team leader failed at banning/firstpicking)

Olaf is shit and outclassed by many other offtanks, also very vulnerable in the jungle because you are always around 15-20% health

Any tips on playing AP teemo? I've been playing it for the tears when a mushroom kills someone. I really don't give a shit about being useful to the team or winning, exactly, I just want the most effective way to kill people with my mushrooms.

Currently I've been starting boots with 2 hp pots 1 mana pot, then rushing deathcap, finish boots, rylais or whatever it's called, then either void staff if they are actually getting MR or some other shit. But really I have no idea what I'm doing.

HP Quints, CDR blues, Mpen & Mana regen.

I usually drop shrooms in the bushes all over the place and behind the creep wave I'm pushing. I enjoy sitting in the middle hidden with blinding dart and exhaust/ignite to try and firstblood mid. But yea like I said no real idea what I'm doing here.

You know that you would have to play insanely much to get all the champs (even only the ones that you would want to play(at least for me)). The bundles are so worth it, I also feel like it's worth it to buy a 6300 IP hero when its on sale for RP. It's even more obvious when you hit 20 and start buying tier3 runes, since you can't even buy the runes with RP.


also, you get influence points (IP) for playing, you get Riot points (RP) for real monies.

champs are being released faster than I earn Ip atm, (servers being shit really doesn't help) I want more champs than I earn IP, unless I want to play for the sake of farming IP (my time is worth more than that an hour) the other option is IP boosts which are only really worth it if you play a hell of a lot or really want certain runes and if you play enough that an IP boost is worth it then you prolly can just wait for your IP to build up.

Also did a Garen based on cullean's advice, worked 100x better than before. ONce you get that Sunfire, you don't have many farm problems, especially if you're actively ganking (that ult is so sick for catching runners)

i think that 99% of all dudes in here care about their champs and want to play different ones / the ones they like from some point on. your argument might be valid for <lvl30 players but sure not for ranked playing highrollers like many of us here are. you need every IP you get to complete your runesets if you want to play (semi-)competitive. or you just shit on everything and play ranked for lulz with your 2 standard runepages that you built up during lvling and might still have T1 quints in there which you obv dont care about cus you are a french fag or equal.

now if you answered the question that you want to play (semi-)competitive or not with a big fat YES then its very much worth it to spend some dollars on this game and get at least one of the champ bundles.

also you can calculate it very easily by just looking at what you earn in 1 hour of reallife work and how much ingame time it would take you to get champion-X in IP. if i do that for my reallife work the 975 RP for 1x 6300 IP champ is very much worth it. even more on sales obv.

i have now spent 70 bucks on this game for over a good year of much fun and rage. very well worth it if you ask me.

What the guy above said. Spending money to support a product you enjoy isn't a crime. And at level 30 with the way champs are often changed, every IP point is precious. IMO when the champ is <4800, use IP. When it's it's above, use RP. Easier than you think to get back 450-3150 than 4800-6300.

You really dont need early hp regen as garen, thats what his sexy passive is for. Go for boots1 + pots or dorans sword or longsword + pot. Either way, rush brutalizer. Early brutalizer lets you dominate with your spin + Q combo and gives you damage for early/mid game. Dorans + brutalizer is even better. I find a don't need a lot of tanky items on garen due to his W buffing his armor/mr, so I usually stack health. Get like sunfire, frozen mallet, atmas, ghostblade, banshees/FoN, boots.

i bought him and played him successfully in normal games at least. havent logged in for a week cus of LOLRIOT (get it?) but as far as i remember i build him: 21/9/0, flash, ignite, solotop, HREG/AMOR/MRES/APEN runes, boots, pots or ward+pot depends on gank heavyness of enemy jungle, heart of gold, warmogs, atmas, now either go trinity force / ghostblade if you want to go more damage or go tanky by building force of nature / randuins / frozen mallet (procs on ghosts?) / banshees / sunfire. hes really fun to play. many dudes underestimate his Q damage like with nasus pretty much. for skills i went Q>E>W, one W early for gank movespeed debuff obviously.

edit: oh and also use his R wisely. you can quickcast it onto yourself with ALT+R. you will die and the enemy will get a kill (NOT the same as zilean) but you can atleast finish him off and also get the full kill + exp and gold. many guys dont expect the power of your R casted onto yourself. much lulz has been had.

Never managed to finish trinity yet it would be last item if the game is long enough.

Carried 2 games earlier, fuck the actual ghouls there nothing but they provide nice short buffs and you can spam once you have tear of the goddess/manamune(kinda encourages spam) and actual builds some nice burst.

Any Armour that has mana built in is great for him frozen heart for AD, banshees for MR teams

I don't think i would ever build for pure AD, the bonus from manamune/atamas leaves you at round 250 AD( including extra man/ad from sheen/banshees) which is more than enough for his Q to put the hurt out.

Skill's i max first are E then Q and one point at lvl5 in his slow

if peeps have any better suggestions please do as im very new to him :)

Things went from worse to worst in Kalamanda today as General Boram Darkwill and his accompanying platoon of Raedsel Guardsman were found slain on the roads not far from the village. The massacre was discovered by a Noxian company dispatched from Kalamanda to rendezvous with and escort Darkwill and his men across the last leg of the journey.

Analysis of the scene indicates that the entire troop was eliminated with terrifying efficiency. Noxian scouts haven’t found any traces of an attacking force or any signs of survivors. The caravan seems to have been taken completely by surprise, which is confusing considering that the site of the ambush is flat and open with little vegetation or terrain. Swain ordered that the bodies of every slain Noxian soldier be put to fire, as is the Noxian ceremony for fallen ranking officers in wartime conditions.

“This atrocity could only have been perpetrated by one group,” insisted Jericho Swain, the presiding Noxian authority in Kalamanda. “The Raedsel Guard is comprised of Noxus’ most ruthless and vicious soldiers. A platoon of Raedsel is worth a regiment of infantrymen.

I don’t know how the Demacians overcame them before they could signal our forces in Kalamanda, but no other military on this continent could mount such an assault. This is a clear declaration of war.”

In a public response, King Jarvan III of Demacia decried the attack. “This is a horrific tragedy. It’s no secret that Demacian and Noxian forces have opposed each other on numerous occasions, but General Darkwill and I were able, after so much conflict, to put our rivalries aside for the greater good. I did not order this attack. I would never do anything to threaten the peace we have forged. I am willing to cooperate in any way necessary to prove the truth of these claims.”

Swain’s declined Jarvan’s invitation to discuss the situation, which may indicate that the damage is already done. The last remaining natives of Kalamanda, including the mayor and his councilmen, have been evacuated from the region. Security at the Demacian camp has increased, though soldiers have been carefully instructed to make no show of aggression.

League Champion Janna’s record-breaking zeppelin “Tailwind,” unveiled earlier this year, has defeated the Zaunite flagship “Lead Zeppelin” at the annual Techmaturgical Conference in Piltover. Zaunite competitors contested the victory, claiming that the new “chrono-propeller” engine of the Tailwind allowed the craft to navigate through Bluewind Bay’s storms utterly unfettered. Conference officials, however, overruled their protest.

Tensions between Piltover and Zaun have grown heated over the past few months leading up to the Conference. The technology behind Piltover’s chrono-propeller engine has been a source of strain on the Piltovian side, as the design reportedly had not seen thorough testing prior to the race. “We could not have known whether or not the new engine’s time manipulation magic would work at all. In fact, it isn’t even perfected,” said Janna, Tailwind’s pilot. “We will be researching the full capabilities of our chrono-propeller for years to come.”

A better, less stormy time.”

Developed a TF build, AD/ASPD focused. Can somebody tell me if I need to change items out? Blade -> Boots 1 -> SOTD -> Zerker Greaves -> Wit's End -> Inf Edge -> Phantom Dancer -> Situational item.

If it works for you, it works for you. I personally never like that much attack speed on anyone, and TF should take either SOTD or Wit's, but not both (if they have Jax or you need more ArP, SOTD, if they have a lot of magic, Wit's End).

With Wit's, I'm more wanting the ASPD and 42 extra damage than the actual MR. That's a lotta onhits and shit firing off. Not on the level of Teemo/Twitch mind you, but still notable.

Maybe Frozen Mallet would be a better choice? SOTD appears to be a core item for TF in an AD build.

We'll be doing some things to Corki to get him closer to acceptable. From there, I think the viability of other AD carries will really be presented. I still maintain that Trist and MF would be a good pick in the absence of Corki's current power level.

Kayle Update: Hi guys! Regretfully I have somewhat bad news: The Kayle remake has been delayed another patch, we really want to make sure its in tip-top shape before we release it. I feel we owe it to you guys to let you know as soon as we find out something like this happens.

However, I can update some information about the Kayle remake. The new passive is currently a percent armor/mr shred on hit (stacking) that really helps her out against tanks, especially since her itemization route really makes it hard for her to build penetration.

Weaknesses: Kayle's main weakness will be her downtime on her E. Enemies will be able to exploit this weakness early game, while her late game weakness is her squishiness if she is caught out of position. Her other weakness is that at equivalent stat values, she has less singe-target DPS than straight ranged carries (about 10% less than Miss Fortune).

Strengths: Kayle will have exceptional carry power that puts out hybrid-type damage (which is difficult to defend against), in addition to being able to itemize hybrid-items due to her dual-scalings. Hybrid items have a stronger stat:gold value than their pure counterparts. In addition, her reliance on farm has been reduced. Her other strengths include: High amounts of damage synergy-

* Reckoning: Grants percentage bonus damage.
* Righteous Fury: Grants splash and bonus flat magic damage
* Passive: Percentage Shred

as well as the fact that she has very strong supportive abilities/effects while being able to fulfill a ranged carry role.

I've seen Classick crush pretty hard using proc-hit items. = )

should be rolling through your auras to provide multi buff justice then power chording after hiting your nuke for max damage, also build a couple of gp5s, let your carry get fed then buy aura buff armour

Developed a TF build, AD/ASPD focused. Can somebody tell me if I need to change items out? Blade -> Boots 1 -> SOTD -> Zerker Greaves -> Wit's End -> Inf Edge -> Phantom Dancer -> Situational item.
If you can try to get a malady on there it will help your SOTD and abilities deal much more damage. After that, with all the attack speed you're bringing I'd say Madred's is a good choice. Depends on their team comp also, but with so much aspd you will bring down tanks quite quickly.

Just tried out a revised TF with Pacefalm's advice, works 10x better. I get Razors early so I can have lane dominance + have that early in case I wanna get blue/red quicker than normal. Ended with Ghostblade cause of a tanky Nasus on the enemy team, ripped right through him.

Highlight of that round was Pimp Porting onto an ulting Pantheon, cockblocking him and getting an easy kill.

Won my first 2 Ranked matches tonight. First one I was the team captain and the guy at the bottom of our teams selection list wanted shen after he was banned so I picked him with the promise that he get me zillian. Come to find out he wouldnt switch when time came. So I played shen.

He means playing her duolane as support/ap carry hybrid. In the current meta Lux is mostly played as a duolane support babysitting a carry. I like it more than I like AP carry Lux for the following two reasons:

1) AP Carry Lux is ridiculously farm dependent, she needs a LOT of items to get up to the burst of some other AP casters.

2) AP Carry Lux's damage isn't guaranteed - miss a skillshot or two and oh look you do no damage while you wait for cooldowns. Compared to the current popular AP Carries (Malz, Annie et al) she doesn't have guaranteed, consistent burst. Same problem with AP Carry Morgana - in theory she does tons of damage, but miss a binding/people flash out of your ult and you've done no damage and wasted two cooldowns.

About Malzahar, since he was just asked about (as I was writing this post...last forum software would tell you about that, justsayin):

Standard Caster runes and masteries (9/0/21, whatever caster runes you have).

R>E>Q>W, Flash/Ignite. Use E plus autoattacks to farm/push lanes, Malz can farm from far back so don't worry about pushing instead of last hitting. You can take Q at level 1 and charge a Voidling, I would do so if I think my team is going to level 1 fight. You can time Voidlings to cast as you E on an enemy champ, it's a nice trick and Voidlings do a LOT of damage early game. At level 6 you have an easy killzone of 70% of most mid champ's health - hit them with E, lay a W down, ult them while they're over the W. You can cast Ignite while channelling the ult without breaking the channel, so all of that kills people. In teamfights spam your AoEs, get their carry ulted over a W. Ult can also be used to shut down a troublesome character (Hi Alistar) for 2.5s. Bare in mind ult stuns you for as long as it stuns the target, so can leave you vulnerable in a fight - make sure you're protected.

I build him pretty much the same way as I build all casters - rush catalyst, get sorc shoes, deathcap, sundry AP items. Generally Deathcap/Rylai's/Void Staff/Zhonya's/Finish Banshees. Deathfire Grasp can be useful on him for a little more burst and synergy with his W. Take mid or solo top errrday.

i played her in mid against Trynd and went 3-0 against him, killed his tower and had more farm. unfortunately the rest of my team lost both the outside lanes and we lost the game, but she is really good in mid with the long range abilitys.

i usually go Q>W>E cus im da skillshot baws. building Boots+Pots, Philo, Kage, Catalyst->ROD, CDR Boots, Then more AP (Deathcap, etc) if i pwn, if not (aka my team gets raped) go something supporty like aegis and save money to buy mass wards+oracles to gain back map control asap

edit: she can be a very potent mid lane cus of your ulti sniping range at 6. just have to go barley into jungle to support a gank top or bot. also cus of her range she can be a very good AP pick. you just HAVE to be competent with your skillshots. else you will lose the game for your team.

Imo E is better to rank up first, you get the full double disable at rank 1 of Q whereas E's slow increases per rank so you want to max it quickly. the idea is to get it on the same cooldown rate as your E asap. so you can land your triple combo more efficiently. also Q does more damage and has a higher AP ratio. if you are bot and need to support a gank with a good Q the 4 second cd difference from lvl 1 Q to lvl 5 Q can be crucial.

still, if i would play er AP carry mid i would probably go E>Q>W. not only because of the aspects you said but also because of the farming factor.

I always get one lvl of Q W and E before lvl 4 on Lux, Q lvl 1 usually to harass/fb someone. Than you max E and W, depending on your carry in duo lane cause yes, you never solo with lux. Dont lvl Q at all untill you have everything else maxed.
I used to rush 2 philos, obviously now 1 is enough, might add kage's pick i guess for gp5 or/and hog. After gp5 and cdr boots you get mejai/deathcap depending. Void / roa / rylai / hourglass are all good. Just conetrate on getting your dmg output as high as possible. With decent team you should never been in danger. Lichbane is kinda good on her for mspeed and AP but no, you should never ve in range of autoattack unless you really know what you do. Flash / Cv every time. Not having c to spot a fleeing target or two avoid gank/ babysit better is a huge mistake. I do 9/0/21 with cdr runes on her.

She is great agressive support, a bit underplayed and underestimated. She is pretty much only support bar sona / janna i play.

Bought Malz, used advice in this thread. Easy 15-5 (I think I only had 5 deaths, would need to check) over the two games I played. Was 7-2 easy in the first game, and 4-0 in the second when they rage surrendered.

Malz is very much, imo, a "Pick champion. Take mid. Enjoy your easy killstreak."

Which part of full sentence, that you didn't quite properly, was too hard for you baddie? She is squishy, people run into fight with her, than die dumbly. You sit on back, throw a shield, CC, if you know you will be fine and if you know you can, you can obviously combo with autos well. Usually? Q/E/R in right other to maximize burst on enemy player from sick distance and laugh when they die without even seeing you.

You shouldn't be autoattacking beyond the laning phase. The passive doesn't scale well and doesn't do a whole lot of damage mid to late game. You should never be autoattacking in teamfights or any situation in which the enemy is likely to fight back, you can proc the passive with your ult anyway.

That said if you somehow get incredibly fed and are completely unstoppable anyway, lichbane is hilarious on Lux.

I do wriggles boots, sheen, triforce as core. If you are going damage get IE, ghostblade, banshees. If going for tankier get randuins, banshees, maybe atmas. In that posted game fiddles ultied into our team and i 2 shot him like 18 mins into the game (lol 18 min triforce + IE + wriggles), was p hilarious

Ghostblade is best because it gives you movement speed and attack speed, causing your passive auto attack slow to apply 5 stacks very quickly. Once GP has the ghostblade, you won't get away from him if he starts chasing.

Played a game as me Alistair and a friend singed in the same lane just for lulz. Cue hilarity as every person who approached us ended up at our tower for a tower assist kill no matter where they where in the lane.We got enough kills to actually get AP early items and both went AP builds and continued to dominate the game.


This led to more horribleness at 4 am when we got 4 people in a custom game on TT: 2 alistars, a blitzcrank, and a singed trying to player soccer with the red buff. After an hour and a half of us failing we manged to team up and pull the red buff into the spawn area and managed to kill it with the super turret. Most hilarious shit ever cause we were so bad and kept pulling/knockbacking each other and would have to restart.

Need a proper coordinated 5v5 for more hilarity. We managed to get blue buff to dragon, need to get it all the way to nexus.

but i managed to end up with so many items on mundo i had about 4.5k health and i think about 250 armour and 200 magic resists maybe, not sure but it was stupid, i could stroll around their base just popping my ult every time it came off cooldown and going right back to full, ended up doing 240k damage ;/
