As a Chinese player, I played CEVE in 2008. One years later, I moved to Tranquility since Mar.10th, 2009.
At first, I felt very excited when pick up T2 equipments. I thought that was plenty of isk. I wrong, tranquility's commodity price is much cheaper than dawn (CEVE's server name) . That's my first point.

The second, server quality is suck. When pilots incrase over 300 in jita, they cant play affluent whatever trade or station camp. In 2009 summer, I borrow an alt from RL friend, took part in a war in Q-T, around 1400 players join it. Holy Shiiiit, it spent me a hour for login game! Then it was hard to do anything, lock target or fire, very difficult.

Third, eighty-five percent of CTA is still RRBS from 2007 on. And do u believe most of that guys still use T1 equipments? For example, Large Shield Ext I, DC I, Cruise Missile Launcher I, Large Remote Armor Rep I, Warrior I and so on. Most of them JUST WANT TO GET INSURANCE. Thus, a 50-ppl-tranquility-fleet can beat every CEVE alliances easily.

Forth, there's not have KB system. That's a important evidence to show record. Well, how do we know who was win in CEVE? The answer is quarrel in forum (http://bbs.eve-china.com). Which faction get more support, they win, both forum and game. And before game war active, quarrel is a very very very important step. Then they fly their Chinese-Cabbage-Fit-ships (means very cheap fit), first, camp a gate both sides, then say motherfucker each other( it lasts a long time, lol) . few hours later, they decided to fight or go home fishing -__-

Final, RMT is easily in CEVE. 100 Million isk= ?3.5 (about 50 dollar cents). GM never ban anyone at all. Include any macro account, just ban them symbolic, and lifted it in short days.


It's hard to find advantages from CEVE. After comparing 2 servers, I found out two points, they are: wild and empty null/low sec; only 4k ppl online in AVERAGE (maximum 6k-8k). Ofc, u guys have tons of chance to develop. But server quality is always the most-headed enemy to yours.

And EVEmon? As far as I know, most of CEVE players don't know how to allocate their attribute points, for example: A small group of elite are still using "PER?IN?WILL?ME?CHAR=5?4?3?2?1" plan. Even their Char are 5 years old.

But EFT is being widely used, although the configuration is still very backward respected.

To just track who killed who might not be that hard but stuff like ship names and destroyed/dropped items would need a full db dump. Maybe you could pull the names from the game files though.

Having said that, as boatviolence has shown, we have some righteous dudes around, and I bet the names can be ripped from either the chinese langpack or the cache files or a combo of both.

CCP's recent TQ datadumps comprise translation tables for all languages including Chinese, so making EDK chinese-aware is easy.
