lolsec geddon I used a while back on an alt, liable to be blobbed nowadays but I quite liked it
Been meaning of trying it out as a heavy hitter in low sec bc armour gangs with some solid dps plus the heavy neuts but have been using the pest mostly due to its ability to keep up reasonably well in shield bc gangs

Calgus, that top fit you linked is pretty awful why would you drop a gun for another neut in gang??

RR gang fit, might be a bit too cap heavy for most ppl but dps is vn1:

cheap and fun for 0.0 and lowsec: This is good but requires CPU hardwiring with lvl 5 skills according to EFT recommend use of Conjunctive Radar ECCM Scanning Array which won't require CPU hardwiring

top fit was for solo two to three years ago when minmatar and drakes weren't very common in low sec.

Also I've got a massive hard on for dual heavy neuts and the extra neut might be of more help in a two to four man gang in terms of utility, shutting down active tanking/gtfo factor. The large rr would be somewhat diminished in its role as a heavy support in a gang compromising of 2 canes and maybe a ruppy. The personal repper also doesn't appeal to me much as I'm unlikely to get primaried till last. The loss of a gun isn't too bad in terms of dps, I won't have eft in front of me till the weekend but if i remember right it just scrapes in under a k

If you want dual heavy neuts fly a domi or a tempest

EDIT: and no, losing the seventh gun IS a big deal. You don't get 1k dps from SIX Dual Heavy (lol) pulse lazors.

Well its 950 dps with 6 guns and 5 ogres T2, still the point is valid.

Given the amount of ships that will fuck your cap though I wouldn't go with a dual neut setup on a cap hungry ship to start with.

Domi uses drones which are ineffective in low sec on gates and while tempest is what I've been using till now ive been wanting to try out something armour bricked for nostalgia at the least. Give it a go, I enjoyed it a lot in 08 lowsec, it will grow on you. I will give it a go in may in small gangs n see how I goes. The utility of 2 heavy neuts I can't resist

Podcat

also about primary, you are definitely primary right after any tempests or maybe phoons (and if you fleet with pests you will have plenty of neuts anyway, same with phoons) because geddons are some of the weakenst EHP vs really high dps boats around.

as I mentioned earlier in the thread, the geddon will be used together with a couple of canes n maybe a ruppy in low sec so unlikely ill get primaried. Considering its mostly bcs n the occassional t3 that will be fought the 2 neuts would be rather usefull, personally I like the idea of 2 heavy neuts on my side than an extra gun but I do have a mad hardon fir dual neuts

-100% cap w/ boosters no mwd. 2 minutes+ with mwd
-792m/s (its a pig..)

Yes proj on laser ship, I'm theory crafting here, since I dont have t2 L lasers yet.

previously I had 3x plates with dual650s for armament. to get the 800s on, I had to drop a plate to get the cpu, so I just replaced that slot with adaptive plate, went from 109k ehp to 104k. but jumped the dps up to 728 from 709 . also sacrifices some tracking.. so i might switch back to the 650s

1094 dps w/ drones
1211 heat
115k ehp
Cap with all running lasts ~6 mins without OL the injector, 50 mins w/ overload, easily stable without MWD.
If you want a ship that can neut as well as dps just get a tempest, your t2 projectiles are also more effective there.

Yea I agree there's much better fits and other ships that can do this, but the geddon is just sooooo sexy to me.

don't mega mods cost an asston? it's a bit of a nonfactor i suppose with 3xtris but still

Nah, almost all of the meta guns are down to 1-1.5 mil per gun with very few exceptions (Arbalest HML's, rails, 1400's).

Insufficiently Bhaal.

This fit caps out battleships in 20.4 seconds (with overheated neuts)

Also, it is very cheap. Obv not for solo work though.

I've always wondered why we don't see more group fittings based on whats going to be an obvious primary. Even if its going to change as people become aware.

Of course this fit comes up lacking a bit compared to an aba but its less intimidating, isn't expected to be as good under reps etc.

1k dps w/ INMF+berserker's, 1.2kdps with heat + conflag loaded.
Resists avg around 70 pre heat with explo being lowest @ 69.4%,

Choose your pimp, its 2% cpu over. downgrade a single gun, or swap one of the hardeners for faction, explo being the obvious choice.

If you are going with small guns you can add weapon rigs then for extra damage since you have tons of spare power grid ... why do that since obviously trimarks are better ?
