View Full Version : Arranged Matches

So it turns out you can do arranged matches in this game, picking exact teams, maps, and even game modes. Seeing as we have a bunch of people, complaints about smaller games, etc, anyone up for some friendly competitive brawling? Maybe amongst ourselves, maybe against other corps, but is this something we're interested in?

Main thing I need to know is what kind of times, tiers, and modes you'd like to see. Probably need to do it on a weekend, so maybe we should shoot for one this coming weekend (March 22-24)? Should the teams be random or would you prefer premade teams? Keep in mind we can break the 4 man squad limit here.

Well, first you type /help, and then you type /lobby =P I don't think there's anything wrong with it, given it's publically available and you don't get rewards.

What's the maximum number of players in a "private" lobby?

No limit that I know of. We don't have to deal with 4 man squads like this.

What I meant to ask is: is there a way to have more than the current 6vs6 if you start a private lobby?

As far as I know, yes.

Okay, so first: here (http://wiki.star-conflict.com/index.php?title=Chat_commands#Lobby_commands) is the link to make arranged matches. I am working on compilng a list of valid levels, but you can get an idea of the available levels if you go into your Star Conflict folder (if you got it through Steam, it'll be in the "common" directory under "steamapps") and looking at anything that starts with "levels" in there. The level name for the /lobby levelName command usually starts with s####_[the rest of the level name here].

Second: AHACS would be up to pew pewing with you guys at some point. I'll see how many I can scrounge for a match, and we can decide on tier and the likes. And by "AHACS would be up to a match", I mean "I'll press gang some of my guys into pew pewing with you guys". Chances are it will be a fairly small match, as I think we number 15 in total.

Thirdly: if we can pull together some other Star Conflict corps, we could run a tournament. That could be cool.

Fourthly: if you read this and are wondering why I have't posted in the Syndicate thread lately, blame Star Conflict.

EDIT: /lobby gameMode 10 is a "broken" (read: I haven't figured out the rules) King of the Hill gamemode that should be in the next patch (unbroken, I hope).

8D is definitely in whatever you decide to run.
